Daniella Fernandez Lertzman

Associate Attorney

Daniella practices employment law and election law at Barton Mendez Soto. She advocates for individuals whose rights have been violated under both federal and Arizona state laws. Outside of those areas, she has also prevented the eviction of numerous tenants through the Pima Emergency Eviction Legal Services program.

Daniella earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law in 2022. She also graduated summa cum laude from San Diego State University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. During her time at law school, Daniella gained invaluable courtroom experience and advocacy skills. She represented indigent clients in the courtroom as a Rule 39 Limited Practice Student Attorney in the Public Defender Clinic.

Daniella also interned at the Arizona Court of Appeals Division 1, the Arizona Supreme Court, Government Affairs group, and the Arizona Legal Center. After the passage of the Smart and Safe Arizona Act, she organized and ran an expungement clinic on ASU’s downtown Phoenix campus aimed at removing state marijuana charges from Arizonans records.
