Jacqueline Mendez Soto
About
Jacqueline practices in the areas of labor and employment. Within the employment context, she represents workers facing discrimination and wrongful termination due to age, gender, race, ethnicity or disability. In this capacity, she has faced both public and private employers, before the Industrial Commission of Arizona (ICA), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and state and federal court. In addition, Jacqueline advises employees on their rights to engage in protected concerted activities and represents unions before the National Labor Relations Board in representation proceedings and post-hearing motion practice. Her past experience as a field examiner with the National Labor Relations Board has given her the insight to effectively represent clients before the NLRB.
Prior to co-founding Barton Mendez Soto PLLC, Jacqueline served as in-house counsel of labor affairs for U-Haul International, Inc. and was an associate with the labor and employment section of Snell & Wilmer LLP. After obtaining her law degree, Jacqueline had the honor of serving as judicial law clerk at the Arizona Court of Appeals for the Honorable Ann A. Scott Timmer, who now serves on the Arizona Supreme Court.
In addition to her labor and employment practice, Jacqueline also practices in all aspects of family law, assisting clients through their divorce and custody proceedings. She also represents clients in private adoption proceedings and guardianships. Please visit our Family Law page for information on how Jacqueline Mendez Soto can help you.
